The origin of divinations can be traced back to the bible. The most prominent form of divining within the bible is Urim and Thumim. Yup, you read that right, divination WAS actually allowed in the Old Testament. This form was used by the High Priest in Israel to consult God regarding a variety of matters. Urim and Thumim was the only form of divination that was accepted by the bible, as it was seen as a way of communicating directly with God. It was used by the High Priest to divine the will of God and interpret its message.Composed of two stones with the Hebrew alphabet inscribed on them, the priest would cast and interpret them to give a definitive answer: yes or no. Divination within the bible has served as a model and foundation for various forms of divination practiced today.

The popularity of divination has certainly expanded over time, with various cultures having their own interpretations and systems. Ancient Babylonians used the interpretation of dreams to divine the future and Greeks conducted oracles at Delphi. The methods have changed but the purpose remains the same, we're all curious for what the future entails. Now, because we live in a time and age where everyone likes to share ugly options on others. Let us remember that these practices are not only ancient but CRUCIAL parts of peoples customs and cultures. Divination is an important aspect of many spiritual and religious practices, so let us all respect this practice for its original purpose. You don't have to understand or repeat what your neighbor does in order to respect them, it's pretty insane I even have to tell humans this but alas, don't be a dick to thy neighbor.

Divination gradually increased in popularity through ancient cultures such as Babylonians, Egyptians and Greeks. These civilizations were known for their superstitions, and they each developed their own unique forms of divination. For example, in Babylonia diviners used oil on water to study the ripples and interpret them as messages from the gods. In Egypt, scribes employed Omenology as a method of divination in order to foretell situations and have an understanding of the signs found in nature. Egyptians also used other methods such as astrology and tarot cards to practice divination. Divination has evolved over the centuries, and today we have access to far more tools than our predecessors did. From tarot cards to runes and even computer software, there is a vast array of divinatory resources available in modern times. This allows us to gain insight into our lives and to contemplate the future in a way that wasn’t previously possible. Whether you believe in its power or not, divination can still be used as a tool to gain guidance and understanding.

In modern times, divination has become commonplace in many aspects of life. Predictions about stock markets, weather, sports and other events are often made by professionals who use various forms of divination to make their forecasts. Even those who do not believe in supernatural influences may be surprised to find that they too consult the stars or fortune tellers in order to gain insight into their lives. Divination isn’t just about superstition and luck; it can also help us to gain perspective on our lives and give us the confidence to take risks. Don't believe me?From sovereigns to celebrated individuals, like Rockefeller, those of prosperity have looked for personal astrologers as a customized experience. As J.P Morgan famously said “Millionaires don't use Astrology, billionaires do” - and with good reason! With personalized astrological advice from experienced professionals at their disposal, it's no wonder the ultra-wealthy seek out this valuable service. Not only did some of the most notable founding fathers practice it, but they also ardently believed in it. Noted Founding Fathers Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were fascinated by astrology, with Franklin including details of it in his almanacs and Jefferson studying astronomy. During his presidency, President Abraham Lincoln was known to have held a number of seances within the White House.

No matter your beliefs, everyone may benefit from a bit of divination in their life. Whether you choose to consult tarot cards, astrology charts or computerized forecasts, divination can be a valuable tool for gaining insight and understanding into the future. It may even help you to become more confident in your decisions, as it can provide you with guidance when making difficult choices. With its current relevance, now is the time to fully embrace this ancient practice! You never know what you might discover! Divination remains a popular practice in many cultures today, but the origins of these practices remain rooted in the scriptures of old. Urim and Thumim introduced the concept of divination, which has become so ubiquitous today that we rarely take note of it. While some might be dubious about certain forms of divination, history proves its longevity; after centuries still alive and well in our lives, there is no indication this practice will change anytime soon.
